Dave Davis co-founded a data licensing platform called Calliope Networks, which was acquired by Protege, a leading platform for AI training data.  Davis is now GM, Protege Media, which aggregates audiovisual content (movies, TV, news, sports) to license to generative AI companies for model training.  Prior to Protege, Davis spent almost two decades in film and television distribution, including executive roles at NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox.  Davis began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York and practiced corporate and securities law at Gunderson Dettmer in Silicon Valley.  Davis has a BA from Wesleyan University and a JD from the University of Michigan School of Law.  He is an active member of the California Bar and a member of the Copyright Society, serving on its AI-subcommittee.
